Customs Intelligence officials arrested two persons and seized 62 gold bars weighing 7.23 kilogrammes worth about Tk 3.5 crore from a flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital today.
The arrestees -- Md Dulal Hossain and Sahidur Rahman -- were passengers of an inbound Dubai flight, Moinul Khan, director general of Customs Intelligence, told The Daily Star.
They are residents of Comilla district, the customs official said.
Dulal and Shahidur came from Dubai by FZ583 flight that landed the airport around 11:00am, he added.
