X to make audio and video calling available for all users

X, formerly known as Twitter, is making audio and video calls available for all of its users. Previously, this service was only limited to Premium users.

Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, officially announced the new feature in a recent post on X. At the time of writing, the feature is not yet available to all users, but Enrique Barragan, Senior Software Engineer at X, confirmed that the feature will be slowly rolled out to non-paying users.

Until recently, non-premium X users could only receive calls and talk to others. As this feature begins to roll out, any user will be able to call X users anywhere in the world.

Soon after taking ownership of Twitter, Elon Musk made significant changes to the platform to implement his plan of making the rebranded X an "everything app".
