Trump’s Truth Social ahead of TikTok and Twitter on Apple's App Store

Truth Social, former US President Donald Trump's social media platform, has shot ahead of popular microblogging platform Twitter and short-video sharing platform TikTok on Apple's App Store recently.

According to a tweet by Twitter's new billionaire owner Elon Musk, Truth Social leads the top chart for the most downloaded free app on the App Store, with Twitter in 2nd place and TikTok in 5th place.

Donald Trump launched Truth Social after he was permanently banned from Twitter in January 2021 for his role in inciting violence, following his loss in the US presidential election to current US President Joe Biden.

Following Elon Musk's recent acquisition of Twitter, there were speculations that Donald Trump would return to the microblogging site. However, it was reported that the controversial Trump would be using his social media site, Truth Social.

Truth Social is currently available in Apple's App Store for US users only.
