Former Rab officer Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad again was placed on a fresh five-day remand today in a case filed for killing lawyer Chandan Sarkar.  
Senior Judicial Magistrate Ishtiak Ahmed Siddique passed the order after Narayanganj police placed him before the court seeking a 10-day remand.  
Earlier Tareque was remanded in three times on different durations in Narayanganj seven murder cases.
Tareque Sayeed was sent on forced retirement on May 6 for his alleged involvement in the gruesome abduction and killing of the seven people whose bodies were later found in the Shitalakkha River.  
On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and his three aides -- Tajul, Liton, and Swapan -- and Nazrul's driver Jahangir and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver Ibrahim were kidnapped in separate incidents.
