Take care of yourself, family alongside ensuring safety of people: PHQ to police

The Police Headquarters (PHQ) has asked all the field officials to take care of themselves and their family members along with ensuring safety and security of the countrymen during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video message, Sohel Rana, assistant inspector general (media) of PHQ, come up with the instructions today.

Every member of Bangladesh Police has been working in the field from the beginning of coronavirus spread in the country to ensure safety and security for the people, said AIG Rana.

While working, it may not be possible to ensure "personal safety measures" immediately for the limitation of personal protective equipment (PPE), he said, adding they need to remain vigilant in the field to ensure support and safety of the people.

He said, "We are working to ensure the safety of all members of Bangladesh police and we are now asking all officials to ensure personal and family's safety."

AIG Rana further asked all policemen to follow the health instructions properly which they are circulating to create awareness among the people.

"If you (policemen) become sick or your safety is not ensured then it will not be possible to ensure the safety of people," AIG Rana added.
