Book Review with Tajdin Hassan, presented by Anker Bangladesh and brought to you by Contrivance International Limited, took place on February 2, 2019 at The Daily Star Center. The programme consisted of an interactive symposium where Tajdin Hassan, Head of Marketing,  The Daily Star, reviewed  lessons from the book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne.

Most of the participants were undergraduate students. Those who answered questions during the session were given a hamper from Anker Bangladesh, comprising of a power bank. Tajdin Hassan related the lessons in The Secret to stories from his own life during the session.

The participants also told their own stories at the end of the session. It was facilitated by Rafeed Chowdhury.

"I don't usually like book reviews, but this one was totally different," said Raez, a participant. "I enjoyed listening to the stories from others, and telling my own stories as well while relating to this book. It was a fun experience."

The Secret is a best-selling self-help book that focuses on how thoughts can change a person's life. The aim of the interactive session was to impart knowledge on positive thinking as well as encourage young people to read more. It was a joint initiative of Anker Bangladesh and Torun Digital, a youth content platform.

The organising team plans to hold more of such book review sessions this year, as an opportunity to interact with the young community.
