"My blog has taken a positive turn during the pandemic as this is the most creative I've been in years," said Shaika Subah, who shares stories related to books, art, and travel.

Planning and strategising are crucial elements for blogging. Recently, Pinterest has emerged to be a popular choice for blog promotions as users can easily connect with the right audience. "Start with creating pinnable photos and add them on the Pinterest board which eventually leads to the blog post," explained Nawrin Layla, a lifestyle blogger.

ADD APPEALING PICTURES

Posts that are visually pleasing have greater chances of garnering interactions. While the main content has to be good, it is equally important to add a few appealing photos. "Having a source of natural light ensures that the photos are enhanced. Beginners can also use Lightroom to create a preset which leads to a signature mood for the aesthetics," shared Sharfin Islam who posts book reviews on her Wordpress blog.

UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF HASHTAGS

The proper use of hashtags is an essential part of promotions on Instagram. These ensure that a post reaches the right group and gets maximum interactions. "There are at least a million new posts on Instagram every day and using the right hashtags filters your posts. People finding you through a hashtag are more likely to engage because you are catering to their specific interests," shared book blogger Tarin Fatema.
