The Junior Project: Spreading Happiness

For winter, Stygen.gift (www.stygen.gift), an online gift shop, has come up with The Junior Project, an initiative to donate clothes of newborns and toddlers.

The idea behind the project is simple, yet innovative.  With the observation that very few children's clothes are distributed as donations in winter, renowned  organisations like GEEKY Social Limited, The Daily Star, Dhaka FM and Biddyut have joined hands in various roles, to facilitate spreading the happiness from one child to another.

The project calls for young children (aged 0-7) to be registered by their parents as the junior donors, while GEEKY Social has taken the responsibility for their digital communication. The clothes are collected by Biddyut, a leading logistics company with a gift of thanks from Stygen. Dhaka FM & The Daily Star are the media partners of this campaign.

The donated clothes will only be accepted if they fit a child in the specified age range.

The campaign organisers will take requests for donations through Stygen's Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/stygen/) or though the event page. (https://www.facebook.com/events/2051099094980654/).

Their logistics partner will collect clothes from each donor's house every Friday till January 18. Then, they will  pack and distribute the clothes to slum children in two intervals, one on  December 22, 2018 and the other on  January 26, 2019.
