Proborton’s Eid festival for the underprivileged

Proborton celebrated Eid festivals in Dhaka, Rangpur and Ulipur, with over 300 students.  In Uripur, more than 400 people were served with food to mark the occasion. A henna festival was also organised.  The students were delighted to have new clothes and put on henna. They were also shown educational videos and issues such as child marriage and child labour were discussed with their parents.

A talk on the importance of education was hosted at the Ulipur Govt Girls' High School.  The chief guests of the programme were Mohammad M A Matin, MP, Mohammad Golam Hossain Montu (the chairman of Ulipur, Ripa Sarder , the vice-chairman of Ulipur, Asaduzzaman, eminent lawyer and the president of the Kurigram Society,  and Jahangir Alam, the general secretary of Ulipur Press Club.

 The guests appreciated Proborton's efforts for helping underprivileged children and provided them with monetary support.

The founder of Proborton, Sabbir Khan Saim, expressed his gratitude to the student community of Proborton, who organised the event from the savings of their monthly pocket money. He also thanked the Kurigram Society and Globe Education Consultant for their financial assistance.
