MIST hosts Ankur 2018
MIST Literature and Cultural Club
An inter-university literature and cultural competition titled Aunkur-2018 was held at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) on September 1, organised by the university's Literature and Cultural Club. Prominent artist Hashem Khan, Member of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh National Museum, was the chief guest. Major General Md Abul Khair, Commandant of MIST, along with students from different universities and other military and civil officials were also present.
The competition was categorised by nine segments about worldwide literature, writing skills, painting and photography skills, literature Olympiad and quiz rounds, brainstorming presentations and written exposure of static objects as well as dynamic films. A spectacular round called "Rongmishali" was held on the multipurpose hall of the institute, where the participants showcased socio-cultural issues of our country through spontaneous thematic performances. Renowned celebrities like Giyas Uddin Selim, Doly Iqbal, Sadat Hossain and other media celebrities were also invited to enjoy the programme. The competition came to an end with the distribution of prizes among the winners by the Commandant of MIST.
