Jaifrin Ahmed’s journey to BAKED

Jaifrin Ahmed, a business graduate from North South University, won the Alokito Nari Shommanona this year for her entrepreneurial project, BAKED. Jaifrin, who developed a passion for baking from a young age, sees it as an outlet for her creativity.  She has never received any formal training for baking.  "Growing up, TLC was my favourite channel. YouTube is a great platform for learning how to do things yourself," she says. "I have had many failed attempts as well,  but I like to try out different things and experiment with flavours." BAKED is known for their delicious designer cakes.  Jaifrin now plans to open an actual bakery to meet the ever-growing demands for her products. Jaifrin hopes to open a physical bakery soon, where she will recruit young chefs who want to pursue a career in baking.
