Icon College of Technology and Management hosts convocation ceremony in London

Bengali-owned institution in the UK, Icon College of Technology and Management, hosted their convocation ceremony for 2019 at Queen Elizabeth II Centre – Churchill Hall, London, on November 15. The college, offering affordable and quality education to students, was established in 2003.

Sir Deian Rhys Hopkin, the former Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of London South Bank University, was the chief guest. Hopkin was the Expert Advisor to the First Minister of Wales for the centenary of the First World War.

Rushnara Ali, Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green and Bow, Subrina Hossain, Director of NTV Europe, Shahgir Bakht Faruk, Chairman of Bangladesh-British Chamber of Commerce, and Barrister Anis Rahman Obe were the honourable guests.

Azizur Rahman, the Managing Director, and Professor Reza Joadat, the Vice Principal, Head of Quality and Enhancement Acting Head of Icon College of Technology and Management, were also present.

Dr Nurun Nabi, Principal and Professor of Management Studies at Icon College of Technology and Management, expressed that he is proud of the accomplishments of the college community over the last 16 years. "Icon College of Technology and Management is a modern independent institution with close to 1,400 teachers. We offer a wide range of academic courses leading to internationally recognised accredited British qualifications in Computing, Business, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management and Healthcare," he said. "Initially, we were dependent on foreign students, and over the years, we formed affiliations with different colleges across the globe. Our quality of education has helped us to survive and thrive. Today, we have many local students at our college as well."

Around 500 guests, including the family members of the students, attended the ceremony.
