Recently, a motivational and awareness campaign on animal rights was arranged at the Department of Zoology, University of Dhaka. Afzal Khan conducted the session as the keynote speaker.

Known as Robin Hood – The Animal Rescuer, Afzal Khan, an actor by profession, has been rescuing injured, traumatised and differently-abled dogs and cats for almost a decade now. He risks his own life to save his four-legged friends, and makes them a part of their life. He stands as an example for the youth population today.

Professor Humayun Reza Khan, Chairman, Zoology Department, University of Dhaka, attended the session as the chief guest along with former chairman Professor Dr Noor Jahan Sarker, faculty members and students.

"Afzal is a real inspiration to our students, especially the ones from the Zoology department," mentioned Professor Khan."We sometimes fail to notice other friends that we have around us living in the same ecosystem. I hope Afzal opens our students to this ecosystem and in turn, they can make this world a better place for all of us." The keynote speaker Afzal Khan spoke at the session and invited the students to work with him.

Board members Sajjad Mohammad Zubair, Sanjib Saha, Pavel Islam, and Wahidul Sami, along with the volunteers were present to encourage the students. For more information, find their page, Robin Hood - The Animal Rescuer, on Facebook.
