International Art Exhibition for Children and Young Adults 2018 in Kolkata

A three-day long art exhibition titled, International Art Exhibition for Children and Young Adults 2018, was held in Kolkata from June 19-21 at Bengal Gallery, ICCR Kolkata. Bangladesh's Living Art, a project aiming to exhibit artworks of prominent young artists and children, and the Eastern wing of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations were affiliated with this event. A total of 250 children took part in the competition. Artworks of the winners were then selected for the exhibition. Art lovers from all over Kolkata attended this wonderful exhibition. Biplob Goswami, the director of Living Art, says, "Nowadays, children are drawn to electronic gadgets and television, and they even have their personal social media accounts from a young age. This exhibition was our effort to provide them with a mode of creative expression, away from all these distractions."

The Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University attended the opening ceremony on June 19. Also present were eminent journalist Abed Khan and the regional director of ICCR, Gautam De.
