Tasmiah Alam is devoted towards making a positive difference in the lives of people. A Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology graduate, Tasmiah studied Graphics Designing that later on helped her explore more scopes in the creative sector.

Aspiring to initiate a change that will give women more opportunities, Tasmiah co-founded a creative agency called "Hootum" along with Pramiti R Khan and Ashraful Amin in 2013. Besides, she is also working for Ogilvy Bangladesh, an advertising agency.

Tasmiah bears strong opinion regarding gender equality and voices out against any form of gender prejudice. Being a Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) Graduate, Tasmiah, along with nine other "young changemakers", delivered a speech at the Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) auditorium on April 7, 2018. In her speech, Tasmiah addressed the gender discrimination issues in our nation.

"Gender should never be an issue at workplace. Everyone is equal, and guidance should be provided to every employee who seeks it," says Tasmiah to Star Youth.

She also explains how society plays a definitive role in arousing the ideology of gender differentiation. "I am not saying it's impossible to see a change in this ideology. Women getting more opportunities won't be a dream hard to chase. It's happening already. Today, my sister got inspired to follow me as she saw that I am getting opportunities in my career. Tomorrow, someone else will get inspired. The chain is expanding."

Tasmiah Alam encourages more women to move towards the creative sector as she is a strong believer that the differentiation is quickly dissolving.
