Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, commonly known as Ronaldo, is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who cemented the reputation as one of the greatest football players of all time. Played as a striker, Ronaldo was a three-time FIFA World Player of the Year, two-time Ballon d'Or recipient and was named in the FIFA 100, a list of the greatest living players compiled in 2004. He was also inducted into the Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame and the Italian Football Hall of Fame. Ronaldo played for Brazil in 98 matches, scoring 62 goals, and is the second-highest goal scorer for his national team.
