Emon Shaha is a famous name in the music industry of Bangladesh. He has composed hundreds of songs for more than 50 films in the country. A winner of 4 National Awards, Emon Shaha is a believer in the academic training and meditation in the field of music. He himself has competed a 2-year diploma course in music from KM Music Conservatory, a music school by the famous AR Rahman, in Chennai, India. Emon Shaha takes a minute to speak to the Star Weekend. 

What was the first song that you had ever composed?
"Beter Tupi" at the age of six.

If you were given an opportunity to go back in the past, what would you change about yourself or your life? 
Nothing. I am very happy with my life so far!

What is the one song that really inspires you to get up in the morning and move?
"Bohudur jete hobe, ekhono pother onek royeche baki" by LRB.

If you had the chance to meet God right now, what would you say to him?
Dear God, please remove the traffic jam from this country right now!

Which is the one raaga that you hum to yourself all the time?
Raaga Yaman. 

Who is or are your musical inspiration/s?
My father Satya Shaha, AR Rahman, John William.

What would be your advice to the young people who would like to enter the music industry in Bangladesh today?
Spend more time learning and practicing music rather spending it on Facebook.

What is the one change that you would like to make in the music industry of Bangladesh if given an opportunity to do so?
I would build a proper world class music conservatory.
