Will rawhides be wasted this year also?

Around 50 per cent of the rawhides Bangladesh produces a year come during every Eid-ul-Azha, when around 1 crore animals are sacrificed at a time.

A sad thing has been happening in the rawhide sector for the last few years. The small merchants had to throw away a huge chunk of rawhides due to a lack of customers. Around Tk 100 crore worth of rawhides got wasted in 2019.

Why has this been happening? Will it happen this year also? What is the solution?
