Lajina gives back her widow allowance card

Lajina Bewa has set an unprecedented example when she returned her Widow, Deserted and Destitute Women card for allowance.

She lost her husband back in 1982 when she was just 22 years old. She had been taking care of her three offspring alone, more often than not struggling to manage daily necessities. But from the start, she was determined that the moment she attained economic solvency, she would not take any financial aid.
