Hijli: The 'smart village' of Jhenidah

The sign at the entrance of the village reads, "Welcome to Smart Village Hijli". This self-reliant, digital, and environment-friendly village is reportedly free of child marriage and crime. Located in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah, the village has several other unique features as well.
