Trafficked through TikTok: Escaping from India

The Daily Star's crime reporter Jamil Khan talks to one of the victims of the recently uncovered human trafficking racket. She managed to escape from captivity in India and returned to Bangladesh.

The transnational racket used TikTok to lure young girls from Bangladesh -- promising them a life of glamour, fame and money. Once trafficked into India, the girls were forced into prostitution.
