Notre Dame Science Club organised its annual Science Festival and General Knowledge Quiz from October 18 to 25, 2014. The festival featured a wide variety of events, ranging from various olympiads to wall magazine and web designing competition. Like every year, the event has continued its tradition of attracting participants from all over the country, with nearly 76 institutions from Dhaka and beyond.

The olympiads were held a few days before the start of the main project display and as such the inauguration ceremony was held on October 23 at the Notre Dame College Auditorium. The Minister of Environment and Forests, Anwar Hossain Monju, was the chief guest of the event, which was presided over by Father Hemonto Pius Rozario, CSC, Principal of Notre Dame College.

The event spanned a total of 5 days. In total, the festival featured 4 different Olympiads, IQ Test, Sudoku Competition, Wall Magazine Display, Web Page Designing Competition, Digital Poster Display, General Knowledge Quiz (school and college level) and Project Display (school and college level). To make participation easier, registration fees were kept at a minimum. Organisers also screened various documentaries and sci-fi movies at the college auditorium throughout the event. Seminars on different scientific topics were also organised.
Mukit, a student of class 9 who came from outside Dhaka to participate in the General Knowledge Quiz and see the project display, said that events like these inspired him to go deeper into the world of science. He hoped that every institution looked at the Notre Dame Science Fair as an example of how grand events like this can be.
Md. Sayem Sarker, General Secretary of Notre Dame Science Club, said that he would like to thank Square Pharmaceuticals, as without its help the event wouldn't be possible. He said that like every year, the event was growing and believed that in the coming years, his juniors would be able to take the event to newer heights.
Vincent Titas Rozario, Moderator of Notre Dame Science Club, expressed his gratitude towards the club members for their hard work and diligence in organising the event, saying that they were the “heartbeat of the club”. He also thanked the authorities for their full co-operation in organising the event.

Square Pharmaceuticals were the principal sponsors of the event. The other sponsors included Banglalion (Connectivity Partner); FizzUp and Royal Tiger (Beverage Partner); Ispahani (Snacks Partner); Nescafe, Bellisimo and Off Track Music Café (Refreshments); Maasranga and Radio Foorti (Digital Media Partners) and Doinik Samakal (Bangla Print Media Partner).
