Like father, like son

On the Father's Day of 2021, we take a look at Novak Djokovic's practice session with his six-year-old son as a part of his preparation as the defending champion of the upcoming Wimbledon Grand Slam, scheduled to begin on June 28.

The Serbian is participating as a wildcard doubles entry, as a tune-up event for the Wimbledon, at the inaugural edition of The Mallorca Championships, a 250 series ATP event, which was postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the grass court at Mallorca's Santa Ponsa, the latest winner of French Open seems thrilled at seeing his son Stefan Djokovic hit a forehand in such fashion  that it has uncanny resemblance with the famous lefty forehand of his arch-rival and Mallorca's very own- Rafael Nadal.

Interestingly, four out of Djokovic's five Wimbledon titles came in the year in which he did not play any tune-up event leading into the Grand Slam.

Wild card Djokovic is partnering Spain's Carlos Gomez-Herrara and the pair will play Tomislav Brkic and Nikola Cacic in the opening round.
