Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan has bracketed the picturesque Sylhet International Cricket Stadium as one of the most spectacular venues in the world.

Talking to the reporters during the opening ceremony of the Bangladesh Premier League's fifth edition today, Hassan said that the purpose-built venue surrounded by a lot of greenery is a spectator's delight. This venue has got a grass bank for spectators.

"It is not only a beautiful stadium in Bangladesh but also in the world. There might be a lot of issues to be addressed. And if we can solve those it would definitely become more complete," Hassan said.

He however lamented for not fulfilling the huge demand for ticket of the passionate fans in Sylhet.

"The demand for tickets here is huge. Unfortunately we can accommodate only 18,000 fans in this ground. We will talk to the authorities concerned to increase the seating capacity of this ground. But our main target is to add indoor facilities so that we can hold international games in the future at this ground," said the BCB boss.
