Bangladesh lost their first three wickets for 22 runs in 10.1 overs at tea on Day 4 of the Dhaka Test, after Pakistan declared their first innings at 300 for four looking to force a result in the remaining five-and-a-half sessions of play.

Bangladesh lost debutant Mahmudul Hassan (0), Shadman Islam (3) and Mominul Haque (1) -- two of those by off-spinner Sajid Ali as Pakistan captain Babar Azam was forced to switch to an all-spin attack after just one over from Shaheen Shah Afridi due to insufficient light.

Pakistan declared their first innings at 300 for four an hour after the lunch break on Day 4 of the Dhaka Test, looking to force a result in the remaining five-and-a-half sessions of play.

The visitors, 1-0 up from their eight-wicket win in Chattogram and on 188 for two after three rain-curtailed days' play, added 112 runs in 35 overs after losing overnight batsmen Azhar Ali (56) and Babar Azam (76) early in the day.

Azhar was the first to go, top-edging a pull off Ebadot Hossain, caught in the end by Liton Das behind the stumps. Babar fell soon, trapped in front of the leg stump by Khaled Ahmed, the tall fast bowler's first wicket in Test cricket.

But Fawad Alam and Mohammad Rizwan gave Pakistan solidity, albeit with a few close calls early one and later on picked up the scoring rate.

Rizwan was unbeaten on 53 off 94 deliveries while Fawad reached 50 off 96 before Babar announced declaration, with Pakistan just reaching 300.

Taijul Islam took two wickets while Ebadot and Khaled took a wicket each for Bangladesh.
