Bangladesh will take on India in their fourth World Cup fixture at the MCA International Stadium, Pune today.

The match will start from 2.30pm.

The following is a statbox on India-Bangladesh encounters.

****Bangladesh's World Cup encounter against India in Pune today is set to be the Tigers' first ODI against India in India in 25 years.

****Bangladesh claimed eight wins in 40 ODIs against India, who dominated the contest with 31 victories to their name. One Bangladesh-India ODI yielded no result.

****It took Bangladesh 12 ODIs and more than 16 years to get their first win against India in the format in 2004 in Dhaka.

****Bangladesh, however, have won their last ODI and their latest bilateral series against India. The Tigers clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1 at home in December last year. Bangladesh also claimed a six-run win over eventual Asia Cup champions India in the continental championship in Colombo last September.

****Bangladesh lost three of the four ODIs played against India in the World Cup. The Tigers' only win against India in the ODI World Cup was when the two sides met in the mega event for the first time in the 2007 edition.

****Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan got Virat Kohli out five times in ODIs, the most by any Bangladeshi bowler. West Indies' Ravi Rampaul (6 times) and New Zealand's Tim Southee (6 times) are the two other players to have claimed Kohli's wickets more times.
