After multiple rain interruptions, the match between South Africa and Netherlands match finally began as a 43-over-a-side contest 90 minutes after the scheduled starting time in Dharamshala today.

Earlier, rain delayed the toss of the ICC ODI World Cup match between South Africa and the Netherlands at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium by 30 minutes.

The toss was scheduled to take place at 2:00pm Bangladesh Standard Time but ended up taking place at 2:30pm.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first right before rain returned to delay the start of play.

The play finally started at 4:30pm, two hours after the scheduled time.

In response to the gloomy overcast conditions, South Africa have made one change in their XI, bringing in pacer Gerald Coetze in place of spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.

The Netherlands have also made one change, swapping medium pacer Ryan Klien with Logan Van Beek.

South Africa are coming into the match in red-hot form, with convincing victories over Sri Lanka and Australia.

The Netherlands, who are taking part in their first World Cup since 2011, are winless after their first two matches, having lost to Pakistan and New Zealand.
