Azam smashes first ton of BPL 2023

Son of former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan, Azam Khan smashed the first century of this edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as he powered Khulna Tigers to a resounding 178 for five against Chattogram Challengers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today. 

Also a wicketkeeper-batter like his father, Azam brought up his 57-ball ton in style -- with a six in the final over off a Mrittunjoy Chowdhury. This was also Azam's first T20 century.

Azam, who smashed a total of nine boundaries and eight maximums, helped Khulna plunder 19 runs in the final over, striking the left-arm pacer for a four and two sixes in the final three delivery of the innings. 

Earlier, Khulna skipper Tamim Iqbal rode his luck to score a steady 37-ball 40.
