T Sports to telecast second Test and remaining games

Following technical issues that deprived Bangladeshi TV viewers from watching the Tigers' first Test against West Indies in Antigua, there is good news as the issues have been resolved and local sports channel, T Sports, is set to telecast the remaining matches of the tour, sources confirmed on Tuesday.

The broadcasting rights for the series including the two Tests and three ODIs along with the three T20Is belong to Total Sports Management (TSM), but no TV channel in Bangladesh bought the rights for the first Test.

The viewers were initially able to watch the game on ICC TV through a subscription fee before Bangladesh Cricket Board allowed the broadcast on its official Facebook page.

But eventually, the fans will be able to watch the game free of cost and hassle-free as T Sports have bought the rights to telecast the remaining matches of the tour.

The second and final Test of the two-match Test series is scheduled to begin on June 24 in St Lucia while the three-match ODI series is set to take place on July 2, 3 and 7 respectively.

After the ODI series, the two teams will face each other in the three-match T20I series to take place on July 10, 13 and 16.
