Rajitha replaces Fernando as concussion sub

Kasun Rajitha has replaced paceman Vishwa Fernando as a concussion sub on day three of the ongoing first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at Chattogram today. 

Fernando has been been taken to a hospital for MRI scans, Sri Lanka's liaison official confirmed to the media.

Fernando was hit on the helmet by a Shoriful Islam delivery before tea on Day two but continued to bat till tea during a gritty and defensive knock. He did not come back to bat after tea yesterday but returned to bat alongside Angelo Mathews once Asitha Fernando the number eleven was castled by Nayeem Hasan. Fernando then bowled four overs yesterday as

Bangladesh finished on 76 for no loss yesterday. 

Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudul Hasan have kept piling up the runs today in an unbroken 150-run stand and Fernando bowled four more overs today. Rajitha is apparently a like-for-like replacement for Fernando and has featured in nine Test for Sri Lanka since debuting in 2018.
