Bangladesh had a solid opening session on day four of the Chattogram Test as the two overnight batters Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das continued their good work from the previous day.

Having scored 67 runs in today's morning session, which got delayed by rain for 30 minutes, the Tigers head to Lunch at 385 for three and would be looking to pick up the scoring rate from the second session, scheduled to begin at 01:10 pm [Bangladesh Standard Time], as they still trail by 12 runs in the first innings after Sri Lanka scored 397 all out yesterday.

Resuming the day's play on 318 for three, Mushfiqur and Liton negotiated the Lankan bowlers with caution and ease as the two batters, both approaching three figures, stitched an unbeaten 165-run stand, off 374 balls, for the fourth wicket.

Mushfiqur, who achieved 5,000 career runs in Test cricket earlier in the day, has scored 85 off 222 balls so far, featuring only three boundaries, while Liton has hit 10 fours on his way to 88 off 188 balls.
