Bangladesh have started to feel some solid ground beneath their feet as the home side managed to not lose further wickets after being five down within seven overs on day one of the Dhaka Test today.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das have steered the hosts past the three figures during an unbeaten sixth-wicket stand of 105 runs so far as the game is in the midway of the second session following Lunch.

Bangladesh are 129 for five after 42 overs with both batters, who stitched a 164-run stand in the previous outing in Chattogram, finding life easy on the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium surface as the new ball lost its shine.

Liton has been marginally more aggressive than his partner even though both the batters have hit seven boundaries so far. Interestingly, Mushfiqur had hit only four boundaries during his 105-run knock in Chattogram.

Mushfiqur is not out on 48 off 110 while Liton, who was dropped on 48 by substitute fielder Kamindu mendis, is unbeaten on 62 off 105 deliveries.
