Mabia, Ziarul bag gold in weightlifting while Fatema wins one in fencing

Bangladesh's Mabia Akter Simanta, Ziarul Islam won gold in weightlifting while Fatema Mujib bagged one in fencing today in the ongoing 13th edition of the South Asian Games. 

Mabia won gold in 76-kg category of women's weightlifting in Pokhara today. She lifted 185 kgs -- 80 kg in snatch and 105 kg in clean and jerk -- on her way to beating her Sri Lankan counterpart. 

After Mabia, Ziarul became the second athlete to win a gold for Bangladesh on the day. Ziarul won gold in 96-kg category of men's weightlifting.

Meanwhile, Fatema secured the third gold for Bangladesh on the day when she won women's individual sabre in fencing at Kathmandu.

With this, the gold tally for Bangladesh reached seven in this edition of the SA Games.
