Rain has stopped at the R Premadasa Stadium. The Bangladesh players have already started warming up ahead of their crucial Nidahas Trophy game against hosts Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to start at 7.30 pm.

The ground staffs have removed the covers of the ground, which remained under the carpet due to heavy overnight showers followed by another bout of rain this afternoon. And it is very unlikely for the match to start on time even if things remain like this. However, there is no official confirmation from the match officials till now over the delay. The bad news is that the dark clouds once again started to hover over R Premadasa with more forecast of rain.

The first two games of the tri-nation T20I series did not face any rain interruption. Sri Lanka won the first game against India by five wickets. India beat Bangladesh in the second game on Thursday by six wickets.
