President, PM greet Tigers

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have congratulated the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for their victory against England in the World Cup.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also thanked Mahmudullah Riyad, as he scored the first century for Bangladesh in the history of cricket world cup.

She also congratulated manager of Bangladesh cricket team, its coach, officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board and cricket loving people in home and abroad for this great victory.

In a press statement, she expressed hopes that the Tigers will continue their winning trend in the other fixtures and will uphold the national flag in front of the globe.

Meanwhile, Fazle Rabbi Mia, deputy speaker; Rowshan Ershad, leader of the opposition in the parliament; and ministers and lawmakers have also expressed satisfaction in the parliament in this connection.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad also greeted the cricket team for their success.
