Neymar pranked on birthday by Barcelona team-mate Rafinha

Neymar may have received many pleasant birthday messages as he turned 24 on Friday but Barcelona team-mate Rafinha chose to send his well wishes with a delightful prank.

The 22-year-old posted a message on Instagram to congratulate the Brazilian but it came with a sting in the shape of a cheeky video.

Neymar had no idea he was being filmed as he sat in the dressing room and was approached by Rafinha, who was hiding a slice of birthday cake behind his back.

The youngster then smacked his team-mate on the face with it, covering him in cream, and ran away.

Neymar quickly leapt to his feet and gave chase but seemed to be struggling with a sore leg, and Rafinha evidently escaped unharmed as he was able to upload the video to the world with a nice tribute.

"Brother today is your day!" he wrote. "I wanted to wish you all the happiness in the world! Continue with this joy! This video depicts part of our friendship. I love you brother, happy birthday!"
