Volleyball team end with defeat

Bangladesh completed their Asian Senior Men’s Central Volleyball Championship without a single win as last edition’s runners-up suffered a 3-1 sets defeat against Turkmenistan in their third and final group match in Nepal yesterday.

Bangladesh, champions of the 2016 edition, had a slight chance of making it to the semifinals depending on a win over defending champions Turkmenistan with 3-0 sets margin, but they lost the first two sets 25-22, 25-16 before bouncing back to take the third set 29-27. The men in red and green, however, lost the fourth set 25-16 to make an early exit from the championship.
