Rahmatganj get first win

Rahmatganj MFS tasted their first victory in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League when they handed a 3-1 defeat to promoted Uttar Baridhara Club at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

Gambian forward Momodou Bah put Rahmatganj ahead in the 23rd minute with a tap-in before doubling the lead from a free-kick 13 minutes later. Uttar Baridhara hit back, with Landing Darboe sending the ball over advancing goalkeeper Rasel Mahmud Liton in the 39th minute but Rahmatganj's Tajik defender Acpopob Asrorov killed the contest by scoring with a 25-yard free-kick in the 45th minute.

The maiden win raised Rahmatganj's tally to four points from four matches while Baridhara stayed with point from four outings.
