Mushfiqur reluctant to play Zim T20s

Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim expressed to selectors his reluctance to participate in the T20I series against Zimbabwe in July this year.

However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to take a final decision.

Bangladesh are scheduled to play a full series against Zimbabwe which includes a Test, three ODIs and three T20s. Chief selector Minhajul Abedin has stated that all regular players of the squad [except Mushfiqur] will be available throughout the series.

Mushfiqur has already applied for leave to BCB although the resolution is yet to be finalised.

"Despite getting the application, the board is yet to decide about Mushfiqur as it's upon the Cricket Operations Committee," Minhajul Abedin told The Daily Star today. "No other players have requested for rest or leave."

"Nothing has happened yet, we haven't found any player who asked for leave," said selector Habibul Bashar.
