Four new records were set on the second and final day of the 34th National Junior Athletics Championships at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

In boys' high-jump, Jehan of BKSP set a new record by clearing 1.82 metres in the 16-17 year group. The previous record at this age-group was 1.74 metres.

In juvenile (18-19) discus throw, BKSP's Limon Hossain crossed 33.55 metres to set a new record, beating the 11-year-old record of 27.85 metres.

In boys' (16-17) long-jump, Akram Hossain of Jessore District cleared 7.1 metres to set the new record, beating the previous record of 6.79 metres.

In juvenile girls' (18-19) javelin throw, Nomita Karmakar cleared 36.36 metres, eclipsing the previous record by 3.02 metres. 

When this report was filed, BKSP was leading the medals tally with 15 gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals. Narail District were in second position with eight gold, eight silver and six bronze medals.
