Mustafizur grabbed his maiden five-for in T20Is, and registered the second best bowling figures in an innings for Bangladesh during the Super Ten match of ICC WT20 2016 against New Zealand at Kolkata, India.

Mustafizur bowled four overs and took five wickets conceding only 22 runs, and was struck for only one six and one four in his spells.

The left arm pacer picked up his first scalp in his first over when his lovely, slower cutter sneaked in between bat and pad to knock over Nicholls’ off stump.

Coming back in the eighth over in his second spell, he bowled Kiwi skipper Williamson when the batter moved towards the off side and exposed his stumps. Williamson was well beaten by the slower one again!

The Fizz was fantastic late in the innings and polished off Kiwi tail with a potent mix of cutters and seam-up deliveries. He sent back Elliott in the 18th over when the batter top-edged his shot to Shuvagata.

In the brilliant last over from Mustafizur, New Zealand lost two wickets in two balls and gave the bowler his first five-for in T20 cricket.

Santner was bowled for three as the ball pitched outside off and homed in to knock back off stump. The very next ball Nathan McCullum was cleaned up with a swinging, full cracker from Mustafizur. The Fizz had five!

Mustafizur’s 5 for 22 in four overs is the second best bowling figures in an innings in T20I for Bangladesh after Elias Sunny’s 5 for 13 in four against Ireland in 2012.

Congrats Mustafizur…

You are truly a splendour without diminishment!
