Racers Raafi, Avik to participate in VW Polo Cup in India

Bangladeshi racers Arefeen Raafi Ahmed and Avik Anwar are set to race in Volkswagen Polo Cup in India. 

The Round 1 of the tournament will be held in Chennai from 24-26 September at the Madras Motor Race track. 

A total of 20 racers from five countries -- China, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and South Africa -- will be competing in this tournament. 

Avik, who finished third in 2019 and qualified third the next year in the VW Ameo Cup, has a good track record while young Raafi will be representing Bangladesh for the second time in an international racing event. 

Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) will be the lead sponsor for Avik in this race.
