Mamat takes Bashundhara Bangladesh Open title

Mardan Mamat of Singapore swung his way to a fifth Asian Tour title beating the challenge of Korea's Soomin Lee and India's Khalin Joshi at the end of the fourth round of the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open at the Kurmitola Golf Club today.

The 49-year-old held his nerve to stroke to a 69 for a 14-under (270) as both Lee and Joshi finished two strokes behind.

Shakhawat Hossain Sohel was the best finisher among the Bangladeshi golfers, ending at two-under (282) to take the joint-19th position.

Siddikur Rahman, Dulal Hossain and amateur Dil Mohammed finished in joint 38th position at four-over (288). Sajib Ali finished a further four strokes behind.
