Last Man Stands launches amateur cricket league in Ctg

Last Man Stands, world’s biggest amateur cricket league, launched its ‘Elite Paint Chittagong League 16/17’ in the port city today.

This is the first time the tournament launched in Chittagong. Last Man Stands has been organising its amateur cricket league in Dhaka for the last two years, with around 50 teams participating in the tournament, according to a release.

Operating in over 120 cities across the world with more than 5800 teams participating in it, Last Man Stands is the widest reaching amateur cricket league in the world, bringing together like minded individuals from all walks of life, countries, religions, and races, to enjoy this wonderful format of cricket.

A total of six teams-- Elite Super Kings, Reliance Sports, Team Peninsula, WCC, Heritage Cricketers BD and Computer Source LTD-- will compete in the Chittagong edition of the tournament. All the matches will be held at Women's Complex Field in Shagorika of the city, according to the release.

Elite Paint is the title sponsor for the tournament, whereas ACME is the beverage partner, and The Daily Star, Radio Foorti and Travel Booking BD are the co-partners.

The Daily Star is also the Official Youth Engagement Partner for this event.
