Gayle double-ton breaks records

Star Caribbean batsman Chris Gayle today scored a double-century against Zimbabwe in a Pool B ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 match at Canberra.

Gayle scored 215 runs off 147 deliveries and eventually gave away his wicket on the last delivery of the innings.

His double-ton was decorated with 16 sixes and 10 boundaries.

Gayle became the top-scorer of all-time world cups and also the record holder of hitting most sixes in a One-Day-International match.

He also became the fourth man to join the double-century club in ODI.

Meanwhile, Marlon Samuels also supported him with his unbeaten 133 runs and created the highest ODI partnership record of 372 runs.

Chris Gayle also became the third highest scorer in a ODI match.
