SCB renews Liverpool partnership

Liverpool Football Club and Standard Chartered Bank announced a four-year extension to their main sponsor agreement, taking the bank's partnership with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season.

The bank first signed up as the club's main sponsor in July 2010, and the agreement was extended in 2013 and again in 2015. Financial terms of the agreement remain confidential.

Naser Ezaz Bijoy, CEO of Standard Chartered Bangladesh said, “As a childhood fan of Liverpool FC, I am extremely delighted with the extension of the sponsorship; but more importantly, the rich heritage of Liverpool FC makes it the perfect partner for Standard Chartered, itself a financial institution with deep historic ties in markets around the world, particularly in Bangladesh, where we have been operating for over 113 years. Our bank and LFC both kicked off the year 2018 on a positive note, and we look forward to celebrating many joint successes with all our stakeholders and supporters in Bangladesh.”

Liverpool has a large number of fans across Standard Chartered's core markets in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and the sponsorship provides the bank with an opportunity to accelerate visibility of its brand, improving recognition across key markets around the world.
