Saif SC go top

Newcomers Saif Sporting Club continued their unbeaten run in the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League with a 2-2 draw against Agrani Bank SC at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

Ariful Islam gave Saif SC the lead in the stoppage time of the first half before Nayeem Sheikh levelled the margin for the bankers eight minutes into the second half. Agrani Bank took the lead through Motiur Munna three minutes later, but Ariful struck again 13 minutes later to help Saif SC raise their points tally to 13, one more than Fakirerpool Youngmen's Club, who have played a match less than the leaders.

Agrani Bank were in third position with 11 points from seven matches.
