Real Madrid have only taken two points from their three home games in front of their own fans in this La Liga season and Real Madrid playmaker Isco Alarcon feels troubled by the start that the Los Blancos have made in the league.

While talking about Madrid’s slow start to the season, Isco said that if Madrid does not score early on at the Bernabeu then the team feels anxious and that can hamper performances.

After Wednesday’s loss to Betis, Isco said: “If we don't score an early goal at the Bernabeu then the anxiety creeps in.

"Sometimes in the past we have pulled off epic comebacks in the final minutes and scored when we didn't deserve to."

Real Madrid trail Barcelona by seven points after five La Liga games. The team won all their away games but at the Bernabeu Valencia and Levante held them to a draw before Betis defeated them with a late winner in a 1-0 win. Real Madrid are yet to win a game at the Bernabeu this season.

However, for Isco it is better to be in poor form right now then during the business end of the season.

If Real Madrid improve their home form then the league would come alive in April when it starts to build up towards the end of the season.

"It's better that this is happening now and not later," he said.

"There is time to fix it.

"We have come back from worse, as we're the current champion of LaLiga."

After five matches, Real Madrid sit in eighth position with eight points. Barcelona are top while the other title contender Atletico Madrid are in thrird position with 11 points.
