WIJNALDUM DRIVES 174 MILES FOR FAN

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum opted to surprise one of his dedicated fans by turning up at his house in Newcastle. The former Newcastle United midfielder made the 174-mile drive north from Merseyside to meet the teenager who runs the biggest Wijnaldum fan page on the photo sharing site Instagram. Armed with a Reds shirt and a signed sketch drawing, Wijnaldum was all smiles as he met the owner of the account. Revealing the visit through Instagram, the fan page wrote: “Wow Wow Wow! Reds I can't actually put into words how happy I am of what happened last night! Reds!!!! My dream has came true, I can't thank you enough Gini for travelling all this way to meet me.”
