PSG working on possible move for Messi: report

The directors of French soccer club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are working on a financial plan for any possible move for Argentine star Lionel Messi, the Le Parisien paper reported on its website on Friday.

Le Parisien added that Messi's entourage had made contact with PSG on Thursday regarding any possible transfer from Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Argentine soccer star Messi is an "option" that is being evaluated by PSG, the French club's manager Mauricio Pochettino told reporters.

Pochettino, whose club is owned by Qatar Sports Investments, told a news conference that PSG's directors always worked hard to improve the team in any way they could.

Barcelona had said on Thursday that Messi - the club's record scorer and six-time Ballon d'Or winner - would be leaving the club, partly as a result of financial difficulties.
